She married William Wyche Meriwether in 1906 in Montgomery, Alabama, and was the mother of eight children: Sarah, Florence, Wilhelmina, Henry, Woody, Lorraine, Ramona, and an infant who was born and died in 1919.
William was killed by a hit and run driver in 1932 and sometime after that Sarah married a Mr. Cook; she was divorced from him by the 1940 Census.
