In September, 1869, Leander Frager along with his wife, Mary (Wartenbee) Frager and their 20mo old daughter, Eva Lucinda, left Edgerton, Ohio, by wagon train, and headed for the plains of Kansas. Also joining them were Leander's older brother Josiah, his wife Lucy and son Link. Leander's younger brother William also joined them. Their final destination was Washington county, Kansas, where they homesteaded.
