Eliza was named Elizabeth Jane Parrott, & born in Well Springs near Fincastle, Campbell Co, TN, her parents were Calvin Parrott & he also went by last name of Dossett, in looking for a past through census records it has been quite confusing & interesting for I have found him going by both last names, Eliza was born late in Calvin's life. He was married to a Mary Childres or Lynch, I am still not for sure which last name Eliza's mom went by. Eliza has an older sister named Aditha & she was married to a Jonathan Bolinger.
Eliza has a half sister, Dicie Childress - Henegar 1882 - 1968, Dicie's mom is Mary Parrott Childress oldest sis of Eliza, there is 26yrs between Mary & Eliza....parents: Calvin & wife: Mary Parrott both died in 1880 after census, I found Eliza living with both her parents & within a day or so she is listed with her oldest sis & her husband: Childress & family(Dicie's family).....I have seen in research her mom being listed as Childress which is sisters married name.......
One thing I noticed in my Grandma Hale's Bible she wrote Eliza's last name as Parriott with an I in it.
