Buck was born Dec. 12, 1913, in Dowell, a son to the late Gus and Glena (Perry) Nausley.
He was united in marriage to Darlie Spangler on June 17, 1934; Darlie preceded him in death April 6, 1988.
He later married Grace (Shupe) Heape on Feb. 2, 1990; Grace also preceded him in death Sept. 25, 1992. Buck was a lifetime member of Faith United Methodist Church in Vergennes. He was recognized Oct. 20, 1991, for his teaching ministry of 42 years of the Adult Sunday School Class at Faith United Methodist Church. He was a retired farmer and had worked at the former R.A. Williams Supply and the Bastien Seed Co., all in Vergennes.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, in Faith United Methodist Church in Vergennes with the Rev. Angie Baughman officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park near Murphysboro. Visitation will be 4 p.m. today, Jan. 11, at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro and from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorials contributions are encouraged and may be made to Faith United Methodist Church or to TIP Hospice, memorials will be accepted at the funeral home or the church.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Donna Nausley; one stepdaughter, Joan Hart; one stepson, Gary Heape; one sister-in-law, Lillian Nausley; three grandchildren, Renee Briscoe, Denise Warbritton and Melissa Dornak; seven great-grandchildren, Sarah Briscoe, Paul Briscoe, Aaron Warbritton, Ryan Bremer, Alyssa Bremer, Clayton Bremer and Aiden Dornak; three stepgrandchildren, Laura Hart, Lee Ann McCain and Lana Hart-Hobman, 10 great-stepgrandchildren and four great-stepgrandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wives, he was also preceded by two brothers, Billy and Merlin Nausley and one stepgrandson, Paul Hart.
