The many Statesville friends of the bride will be interested in the following announcement received here:

"Mrs. Robert Joyner Day announces the marriage of her daughter, William Greene, to Mr. Walter Early Perry on Saturday, the tenth of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, Baltimore, Maryland."

Mr. and Mrs. Perry will be at home after the first of July at Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, Maryland.

Mrs. Perry is a niece of Messrs. D. S. and W. A. Thomas, of this city, and was formerly a member of the Statesville school faculty. She was exceedingly popular among the pupils and patrons of the local school and had a wide circle of friends in this community. She has recently bee engaged in playground and recreational work under the Rockefeller Foundation and executive director of the Montgomery county, Maryland, Social Service League, which position she resigned a short time ago.

Mrs. Robert Joyner Day of Portsmouth, Va., has issued cards announcing the marriage of her daughter, Miss Willie Greene Day, to Mr. Walter Early Perry of Bethesda, Md., yesterday at noon in the Hamilton Street Club in Baltimore, the Rev. Stanley White, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Bethesda, officiating in the presence of a small company of relatives and friends.

Mrs. Perry is a prominent social worker having directed the welfare and relief work of Montgomery County, Md., for two years. She served as a member of the staff of the National Recreation Association and was in the social research division of the Rockefeller Institute in New York. Mr. Perry is a prominent business man of Bethesda where he is active in civic and business life of Montgomery County.
