HEMINGWAY -- Blondon Cox, 75, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, in a Florence hospital.

Mr. Cox was born in Hemingway, a son of the late William Cullen Cox and the late Odessa Miles Cox. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church, Sunday school teacher, Deacon and Trustee of the church and was a former Secretary and Treasurer of the church, a graduate of Hemingway High School and a U.S. Navy veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Lois Hyman Cox of the home; son, Bobby (Paula) Cox of Hemingway; daughters, Sandra (William) Tanner of Pawleys Island and Lynn (David) Benton of Surfside Beach; brothers, Cortez Cox of Hemingway, Cletus Cox of Pamplico, Medford Cox of Johnsonville and Lorie Cox of Florence; sisters, Virgiline Davidson of Darlington, Virginia Creel and Madeline Baxley, both of Hemingway; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Cox was predeceased by a grandson, Gregg Tanner, and brother, Marion Cox.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today in Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be in Garden of Devotion Cemetery.
