Born May 8, 1887 in Center Point, she had been a resident of Kerrville since 1966 and was a prior resident of Pleasanton. Her father Rev W.G. Cocke gave the land for the first site of the Center Point Methodist Church. She married Angus H Cockrell, Sr, on November 3, 1909 in Floresville and he preceeded her in death on December 31, 1973.
Survivors include four sons; Leroy C Cockrell of Kerrville, Angus C Cockrell, Jr of San Antonio, William F.F. Cockrell of Springville, Indiana and Alford R Cockrell of Amarillo; two daughters; Mrs Edith DiPalma of Bossier City, Louisana and Mrs Frances Ford of Jefferson; one sister, Mrs Edith May of San Antonio and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
