Note:
I've changed Emeliza's maiden name several times between Blackman and Mayers. The 1870 census shows John Blackman living in the household next to the one of Caroline Mayers and Emelyza whose name is Elizabeth on the census. In 1880 Caroline is living with John and her last name shown as Blackman. Not entirely certain that John is her father because her wedding announcement has her last name as Mayers:
Marion Star Newspaper
Feb. 03, 1880
"George Thomas Brown of Mayesville married Emeliza Mayers of Marion on Jan. 29, 1880."
Final Update:
DNA results show that John "Jack" Blackman was Emeliza's biological father, conceived before Caroline and Jack were married. DNA also shows he is the father of John, Mary Florence, and George Elmore Meyers.
