Barbara married Martin Kauffman Sr., abt 1733. Martin and his brother, Michael, were among the early founders of the Massanutten Settlement, a section of what is now Page Co. which lies between the Massanutten Mountain and the Shenandoah River. (other early founders included Abraham Strickler) Their children were Martin Jr.(m. Mary Lionberger), Anna (m. Henry Brumbach); David (m. Dorothy Strickler), "Barbara" Nancy, m. Jacob Strickler, son of Abraham Strickler) and Magdalena (m. John Strickler Sr., the youngest son of Abraham Strickler).
Her husband, Martin, died in 1749. She was named to settle the estate. She died abt 1765, in Frederick Co (now Page Co.) VA. Thus, there still remains uncertainty as to her exact date of birth, date of death, and place of burial.
