Marshall S. Donahou, age 77, of Dardanelle, died Thursday, January 19, 2012, at the River Valley Medical Center in Dardanelle. He was born November 9, 1934, in Russellville to Namen and Myrtle Mahan Donahou.

Marshall was retired from the United States Marine Corps, where he served his country proudly, and he was a member of the Church of God in Center Valley.

Marshall was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Carolyn Barnett Donahou; 10 brothers and sisters, Shirley Marshall, Pearl Bryan, Alfie Fuller, Manzie, Mary, Martin,Jonah, Dolan and George Donahue. Survivors include a special friend Beverly Guntner; one son and daughter in-law, Alan and Liane Donahou, of Dardanelle; one daughter, Lori Lyn Apple, of Dardanelle; two brothers Ed and Cleave Donahou; 11 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

A chapel Service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, January 24, 2012 officiated by Bro. Mark White, with burial to follow in Hudson Cemetery at Dardanelle with full military honors, under the direction of Broussard Funeral Home of Russellville. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home Sunday, January 23, 2012.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Donahou's grandsons.
