Roy White, 89, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at his home in Spanish Fork. He was born on May 20, 1920 in Meridian, ID. He served his country in the US Navy during World War II.
He married Arvina Wood on August 5, 1940 and she preceded him in death on February 9, 1999. He later married Mildred Pocock on November 3, 2000.
Roy worked at Geneva Steel, where he retired after 34 years. He was a member of the LDS Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; children, Patricia (Gary) Jensen; Sharon (Ivan) Luke; Richard (Tracy) White; Gary (Sandy) White; Leon (Eileen) White; Terry (Michelle) White; Chris (Randy) Dodge; and Dale White. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arvina; and granddaughters, Christy White and Tanika White.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Spanish Fork 7th Ward Chapel, 761 East 400 North, Spanish Fork. Family and friends may call on Friday evening, April 9, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main Street, or on Saturday at the church from 12:45-1:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery with full military honors.
