Married Joseph F. O'Brien, April 18, 1881, at St. Peter's Church, Rome, NY. They had six children, Margaret, Agnes, Joseph F. Jr., Elizabeth, Stella Katherine, and Thomas J.. Jennie had a son, John A. Garry, prior to this marriage.
For many years, Jennie and her husband, operated the Empire Hotel in Rome, which was torn down in 1975, to build a replica of the 1775 Fort Stanwix .
Jennie died while undergoing an operation for a tumor at Rome City Hospital.
