JOHN C. BECKETT, of Gaithersburg, MD. He leaves to mourn him his wife, two sons, a daughter, his parents, his mother and father-in-law, four children; eight sisters and three brothers. Siblings who predeceased him are late Thomas, Jennifer, Evelyn and Mary Grace Beckett. He also leaves many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

John attended Saint Mary's and St. Margaret grammar schools and Wilby High School. He worked at Senas' Bowling Alley before enlisting in the USAF in 1972 as a cook. He later recruited for the USAF in the Waterbury area and then managed airmen's clubs in Indiana and Montana. John then became part of the inspector general team, Offutt AFB NB. After retiring as a senior master sergeant, he worked in government service as a base recreation director in Japan, Germany and Luke AFB AZ.

After earning his BS from Park University and MBA from Webster, he worked in The Pentagon as the Air Force Survivor Assistance Program manager and Wounded Warrior director. His last job was chief of Unified Legislation and Budgeting in the office of the deputy chief of staff for Manpower, Personnel, and Services, Headquarters, USAF, the Pentagon. John had received the Meritorious Civilian Service Award-USAF, Honorary Chief Master Sargent, USAF, and the Robert M Blanchard Award for Character and Innovation.
