Barrett W. "Barry" Judson, 80, of Lancaster NH died December 17, 2006, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Judson was born in Worcester MA on September 6, 1926, son of William and Jennette[sic] (Belfore)[sic] Judson. He was a graduate of Sutton High School, Sutton MA.

Barry served in the U.S. Navy, seeing duty in the Pacific Theater during World War II and also as a medical corpsman temporarily assigned with the U.S. Marines. He worked as a shipper/receiver for many years at the former Whitin Machine Works in Whitinsville MA and later at The Casual Male in Shrewsbury MA. He resided in Whitinsville MA and Sutton MA for many years before moving to Lancaster in 1990

Barry was an active member and Quartermaster of John Weeks Post #3041 VFW in Lancaster. Previously he served as a member of the Northbridge Fire Dept. and Special Officer with the Sutton Police Dept. He enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting and fishing and was an avid baseball player and little league coach in his earlier years.

His wife of 53 years, June E. (Froh) Judson, predeceased him in September 2002.

Barrett is survived by his children Thomas Judson and wife Debra of Sutton MA, David Judson and wife Lori of N. Oxford MA, Janet Wheeler and husband Robert of Whitinsville MA, and Betty Trudeau and fiancé Walter Hryzan of Lancaster NH; brother Robert Judson and wife Jean of Sutton MA; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 21, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville, followed by burial in South Sutton Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday prior to the service.
