Mrs. L. Spicer after lingering in disease for many years passed away on the morning of March 21st. She had been a kind helpful neighbor in her days of health and strength and died universally lamented. The manifestations of sympathy at her funeral, which took place on the 23d, at the F. B. Church, were very pleasing and instructive to all, Mr. Worden spoke from ' the words, ''Thou shalt be missed, for thy seat will be empty." 1st Samuel, 20:18.

Mr. Spicer would improve this opporturnity to thank the many kind friends who ministered to his wife-in her last illness.
He feels deeply the debt they have placed him under, and will cherish the memory as long as life shall last.

Mr. George Spicer was present at his mother's obsequies but returned to Rochester on the morning of the 24th.
