LEWISTOWN - Susan "Jane" Robinette, 75, of Valley View Terrace, Belleville, and formerly of Orchard Lane, Lewistown, died at 9:48 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at Lewistown Hospital.

Born July 24, 1934, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late George and Ada (Campbell) Peters. Her husband, Floyd E. "Tiny" Robinette, preceded her in death on March 21, 2007.

Surviving are: three children, John W. Robinette and wife Esther of Indiana, Steven D. Robinette and wife Deb of Lewistown, Nancy May and husband Stephen of Lewistown; eight siblings, Mae Nichols of Dubois, George Peters and wife Elaine of Campbelltown, Robert Peters and wife Grace of Huntingdon, Charles Peters and wife Terri of Ohio, Anna Margaret Barnett and husband Ray of Florida, Sara Grace Spigelmyer and husband Lee of McClure, Frances Stoinoff of Ohio, Linda Ciccolini and husband Robert of Lewistown; a sister-in-law, Marian Peters of State College; three grandchildren, Tracy Robinette, formerly of Lewistown, Steven A. Robinette, U.S. Navy stationed in Guam, Shawn D. Robinette of Lewistown; eight step grandchildren; 22 step great-grandchildren; two step great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, James Peters; and a sister, Mary Lucille Stull.

A graduate of Burnham High School, she attended Shippensburg State College and was a substitute teacher in Mifflin County. She also was employed at the former Scotty's Fashions in Lewistown.

She attended the Seventh Day Baptist Bell Church in Salemville.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday in the chapel at Valley View Retirement Community, 4702 East Main St., Belleville.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the chapel.

Interment will be in Mt. Rock Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
