Mahlon is a distant cousin.

Mahlon is noted for the following:

"Had the honour of being a classmate of the late Rt Hon William Lyon MacKenzie King, Prime Minister of Canada for many years, and also Lord Thomas Hamer Greenwood, member of House of Lords in the UK"

Mahlon was the main person involved in the writing of the book - The Beach Family of Canada - a book that is the main source for Beach Family genealogy.

Because of the St Lawrence Seaway development, his and Lillians' beautiful old home was demolished in Nov 1957, and Mahlon and Lillie moved back to Barrie. During all these years Mahlon continued his work on the compiling of this Beach Genealogy.

The monies received from the expropriation of the Beach home by the St Lawrence Seaway was put in a Fund called Beach Memorial Christian Association (by charter of Ontario government) for the purpose of Christian Evangelization and the printing of religious material. In early 1978, the Charter was dissolved and the Trust Fund was given to the Canadian Bible Society to administer.
