Paul Allred, 65, of Midland, died on Friday, February 12, 2010, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Fairmont Park Church of Christ in Midland with Scott Shepard, officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. He was born on November 13, 1944, in San Angelo, Texas to Jesse Clingon and Elba (Hooper) Allred. Mr. Allred graduated from High School in 1964 and then joined the United States Navy. He served four years and three tours in Vietnam. Mr. Allred worked as senior mechanic at J & B Trailers for seventeen years as a diesel mechanic and repairing tanks. Before that he was a mechanic at Coy's Auto Repair for many years. Paul enjoyed racecars and was very helpful to everyone and he will truly be missed. Survivors include two sons, John Paul Allred and Daniel Ray Allred both of Midland; brother, Thomas and wife Rae Jean Allred of Midland; niece, Kathy Amos of Sachse, Texas; nephew, Jody Allred of Arlington, Texas; several cousins; and many, many friends. Mr. Allred was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made to Big Brothers Big Sister at 107 West Texas Ave., Midland, Texas 79701. Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland, Texas.
