Ethel H. Gayle, 76, of Ruther Glen died Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at Memorial Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Gayle was the widow of Clyde Gayle and retired after 30 years in the Caroline County Public School system. Survivors include daughter, Barbara Covington of Ruther Glen; granddaughter, Jennifer Wright and her husband, Tyler, of Bowling Green; grandson, Joshua Covington of Ruther Glen; aunt Lorena Coates of Doswell; brother-in-law, Berkley Gayle, and his wife, Earle, of Ruther Glen and a great grandson due soon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Broaddus and Bernice Howard. A funeral will be held 2 PM Thursday, Jan. 19, at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. Burial will follow in Carmel Baptist Church, Ruther Glen, VA. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at the funeral home.
