Elda married Edman Wilkinson on June 28, 1932 in Albany. After her children were grown, she taught piano to many local children. She played piano beautifully and played piano and organ for her church for many years. Elda loved entertaining and being hostess to gatherings of family and friends. She had lived in the Santiam Central Farming Community for the last 66 years. Her husband Edman passed away in 1974. She was a longtime member of Calvary Community Church and the Sunshine Circle & Garden Club.
Survivors include sons Theodore "Ted" Wilkinson of Japan, Loren Wilkinson of Galiano Island, British Columbia, & Stanley Wilkinson of Albany; daughter Marilyn Lambert of Jefferson; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Elda was preceded in death by her husband and sisters Laverne Bruckman and Pearl Mesman.
A funeral service will be at 2pm Friday at the Calvary Community Church, 35764 Knox Butte Rd. in Albany. Private interment will be in the Santiam Central Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse or Evergreen Hospice c/o Fisher Funeral Home.
