According to his wife, Albert J. Powers died suddenly although he had heart problems for years. He had been sick with the chills and a fever the two previous days. On the 27th he got up around 3:00 am and took a chill tonic, laid back down on the bed and died without ever speaking to her. The Death Certificate says the death occurred in Civil District 6 of Weakley County and his wife's address is stated as Como. Como is now part of Henry County and was the only option for the location of death on Find A Grave so I left it as Weakley County.

The Death Certificate also says he was possibly born in North Carolina. The family was living in Weakley County before his birth and the census records all say he was born in Tennessee.

Albert Jackson Powers was the son of Joseph Henry Powers and Rachel Elizabeth Callahan.
