Margaret A. Ludi, age 83, a life long resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2010 following a prolonged illness.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Cayetano and Rita Bustos, her husband, Charles G. Ludi, four sisters, Agnes Sandhoff, Theresa Valerio, Dorothy Phiffer and Mary Stone and her in-laws, William T. And Veranda Ludi.
Margaret is survived by two sons, Larry Ludi and Carl Ludi and his wife, Aleene all of Las Vegas, two daughters, Betty Martínez and her husband, Jack of Gallinas, NM and Jennifer Martínez of Las Vegas, NM, four sisters, Aurora Baca, Adeline Edwards and her husband, Eddie, Stella Falter and her husband, John all of Albuquerque, NM and Ada Simons and her husband, Robert of Los Lunas, NM, brothers-in-law, Frank Stone of Albuquerque, NM and Mario Ludi and his wife, Angie of Albuquerque, NM, sisters-in-law, Anna Marie Archuleta and her husband, Richard of Las Vegas, NM, and Lila Baca of Longmont, CO, seven grandchildren, Michael Martínez and his wife, Marla of Las Vegas, Shane Martínez and his wife, Jennifer of Sheridan, NM, Kevin Martínez and his wife, Desiree of Tucson, AZ, John Paul Ludi and his wife, Adele of Las Vegas, Chris Ludi and his girlfriend, Marcia García, Bryan Martínez and his girlfriend, Samantha Herbst of Albuquerque and Ashley Martínez of Las Vegas. Margaret is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and the family dog, Buster.
Margaret was born in Anton Chico, NM on October 1, 1926 and was united in marriage to Charles Ludi on January 17, 1948 in Las Vegas.
Margaret was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Post 12 Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion and as a home maker loved to cook, crochet, work in her garden and taking care of grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and all services will be held from the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with a Rosary on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. The interment will follow in the San José Cemetery here in Las Vegas.
