Succumbs to Pernicious Anemia


Frank W. Creviston, a Baltimore & Ohio engineer, died Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at his home, 512 South Franklin street.

Mr. Creviston was in ill health three years and had been unable to be on duty for the last year and a half. He had been bedfast since February. His death was due to pernicious anemia.

Mr. Creviston was more than sixty-one years of age, having been born Sept. 16, 1868, at South Bend.

He was an engineer on the Soo Line before he came to Garrett from Minneapolis, Minn., twenty-eight years ago to enter the service of the Baltimore & Ohio in a like capacity. He was acting as a passenger engineer when ill health interfered.

The marriage of Mr. Creviston and Kitty S. Boone took place at Washington. Ind., March 29, 1892.

Two children survive. They are Mrs. Fred Nagle of Washington, Ind., and Kenneth Creviston of Garrett. A daughter, Miss Ruth, died in 1924. There are three grandchildren. The surviving relatives also include a sister, Miss Mabel Creviston of Minneapolis.

Mr. Creviston was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Garrett City lodge, F. & A. M., and Garrett chapter. R. A. M.

A Masonic funeral was held at the home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Burl Bechdolt of the Garrett M. E. church officiating. Interment was made in the mausoleum in Calvary cemetery.
