JERRY D. HUNSAKER, D.D.S., 79, passed away on February 3, 2004.
He was born on September 26, 1924, in Judsonia, Arkansas.
Dr. Hunsaker was a 1941 graduate of Lamar High School, and attended The University of Houston and University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Force, and had been in private practice in Houston since 1956.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joyce Frank Hunsaker; children, Jerry D. Hunsaker, M.D. and wife Keely Hunsaker, D.D.S., H. Stephen Hunsaker, D.D.S. and wife Carol, Juliana Baker and husband Howard, Elizabeth Hunsaker, D.D.S.; grandchildren, Stephen, Meghann, Keely, Jenny, Macy, Jerry, III, Jill, Lori Anne, Chance, Hannah, and Joyce; sisters, Jane Tucker, Joan Brown and husband Doyle; sister-in-law, Shirley Calhoun; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8 PM on Wednesday, February 4, 2004, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. Funeral Directors, 3320 Kirby Drive. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, February 5, 2004, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 8601 Chimney Rock, with Rev. Donald G. Black and Rev. Allen J. Bauer officiating.
The graveside service and committal will follow in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. In lieu of the usual remembrances, the family requests that memorials may be made to Pilgrim Lutheran School.
