Walker, Glenn Headrick "Big Dad" age 73 of Rockford passed away Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Blount Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Walker was retired from the City of Alcoa after 30 years of service and was a member of Brantley's Chapel Baptist Church. He was a member of the Volunteer Traveler Square Dancers and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved to farm and care for horses.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith "Shugie" Hembree Walker; Parents, Daniel Mack and Elizabeth Walker; Brothers, Richard, John, and Lonas Walker; sister, Wilma Walker Harbin.

Survivors include; Children and their spouses, Sharon Blakley of Knoxville, Richard G. and Lou Walker of Heiskell, Ellen and David Coppinger of Maryville, and Dan Walker of Maryville. Grandchildren and their spouses, Linda Rose Blakley, Nikki and Jason Taylor, Amanda and Adam Hood, Bobbi Jo Walker, Stacie and Ben Wheeler, Chris and Michele Coppinger, and John Curtis Walker; Seven Great Granchildren; Brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Edith Walker of Maryville. Sisters; Mary Innaurato of Knoxville and Sara Cross of Alcoa. Sisters and brothers-in-law; Jean and Perry Owenby, Jr. of Townsend, Betty and Dennis Ledden of Knoxville. Borther-in-law, Luther Harbin, Jr. of Knoxville. Sister-in-laws, ClariceWalker of Phoenix, AZ, and Jane Walker of Jacksonville, Fl. Several nieces and nephews, and special friend, Tressie Eisenhower.

Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2007 in the Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary with Brother Chester Hembree and Brother Lawrence Adams officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Townsend for interment.
