North Ogden- T. Francis Brown, 71, of 777 E 3000 North St., died yesterday in the Dee Hospital after and extended illness.

Mr. Brown has been active in civic affairs, serving as secretary of the Mountain Water Irrigation Co. and director of the North Ogden Fruit Exchange. He had also been watermaster for the North Ogden Canal co.

He was born Oct. 15, 1883, in North Ogden, a son of Thomas F. and Susan Ann Dudman Brown.

A member of the LDS Church, he served a mission to the Southern States in 1904 and 1905. He was active in the YMMIA and Sunday School, was Aaronic priesthood supervisor for several years and was a ward teacher in the North Ogden Ward for 45 years. He was also a member of the Ben Lomond Stake.

On March 14, 1906, he married Margaret Louise Storey in the LDS Salt Lake Temple.

Surviving are his widow, North Ogden; one son and four daughters: F. Vivian Brown, Mrs. Ralph A. (Beatrice) Garner, Mrs. J. Maurice (Lucille) Parker. Fern and Marian Brown, North Ogden; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers; Lawrence C. Brown, Ogden, and Glen Brown, Salt Lake City; seven sisters; Mrs. Jane Bailey, Mrs. Louise Ellis, Mrs. William T. (Celia) Johns, North Ogden; Mrs. Bart (Eva) Monroe, Mrs. Boyd (Velda) Burneti, Ogden; Mrs. Herman (Alta) Nielsen, Taylor; Mrs. Leslie (Vera) Smith, Portland.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the LDS North Ogden First Ward, Bishop Grant L. Alder officiating.

Friends may call at the family home tomorrow after 4 p.m. and Wednesday until 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in North Ogden cemetery, directed by Lindquist and Sons Colonial Funeral Chapel, 3408 Washington Blvd.
