Syracuse.
King H. C. Preston, a former resident of DeRuyter, died at his home last week of pneumonia after a brief illness of four days. Mr. Preston was a good citizen and an excellent mechanic. Whilst living at DeRuyter he was in the employ of the late J. H. Crumb. He leaves a wife, three sons and four daughters, all grown to manhood and womanhood. He was 64 years of age and one of the best and most trusty men Mr. Stearns had in his establishment in this city.
