Death Takes Mrs. Daisey L. Radcliffe
Mrs. Daisey L. Radcliffe, 60, of 241 E. Erie St., died Sunday morning at Lake County Memorial Hospital after suffering a stroke. She entered the hospital Thursday night. Born here Feb. 2, 1884, the former Daisey Brydle, made her home in this community all her life. She was a member of the Methodist Church, belonging to many of its parish groups, and of the Urania Chapter No. 284, Order of Eastern Star. She was the widow of David W. Radcliffe, who at one time operated a large bakery here and also owned a florist business. He preceded her in death in March 1935. Survivors are a daughter, Janet; two sons, Charles of this city, and First Lieut. Robert A., serving with the Army in the Southwest Pacific; one granddaughter and one grandson, a brother, A. C. Brydle, of Allentown, Pa., and a sister, Mrs. Victor Barnett of Cleveland. Last rites will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Nixon Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Hollingshead of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery and members of the Eastern Star will participate in the services.
