Wife of Thayne W. Corbridge, 3 February 1932, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah

WEST LAYTON-- Our beautiful, sweet, white haired angel wife, mother, and grandmother, Sarah Parker Corbridge, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2000 at, the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield, due to incident of age.

Sarah was born on February 4, 1913 in Wellsville, Utah, a daughter of Willard H. and Catherine Stuart Parker. She married Thayne W. Corbridge on Feb. 3, 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Sarah was reared and educated in Wellsville until the age of 14, when the family moved to West Layton. She lived all her married life in West Layton. She graduated from Davis High School. She was a member of the LDS Church where she served in all church auxiliaries. She served missions with her husband in So. Dakota and Denver, Colorado. She was an ordinance worker for 9 years in the Ogden Temple.

Sarah was a wonderful cook and was famous for her homemade ice cream and fudge. She worked many years in the Davis school lunch program. She loved having all her family come for visits. She will be missed greatly by all her family. We love you, Mom.

Sarah is survived by her loving husband, Thayne; one son, Vern P. (Linda) Corbridge of West Haven; three daughters, Karen (Jay) Thurgood of Meridian, Idaho; Orell (Bill) Bindrup of Layton; and Letha (Brent) Ogzewalla of Centerville; 34 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grand-child. She is also survived by one brother, Willard Parker; two sisters, Isabell Phillips and Ruby Simmons. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Gaylen Corbridge, Lois Black, and Janet Olmstead; her parents; three sisters; five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 13, 2000 at the Layton 2nd Ward Chapel, 2120 West Gentile. Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road, and on Monday from 9:45-10:45 at the church prior to the services.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
