Obituary:
Spencer, Iowa -- Mrs. Viola Booth, 79, Spencer, died Thursday in a hospital in Perry. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. in the Warner Funeral Home at Spencer. The Rev. Larry Moore will officiate. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery at Spencer.
Mrs. Booth, the former Viola Heddinger, was born Feb. 25, 1902, at Royal, Iowa. The family moved to Huron, S.D., when she was a youth and she received her education there. The family later moved to Spencer.
She was married to Arlie Booth on March 4, 1950, at Jackson, Minn. They lived in Spencer throughout their married life where she worked at the Clay County Fair. She was a member of the Spencer Senior Citizens Group.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Leona) Bailey of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Everett (Lucille) Culbertson of Spencer and Mrs. Richard (Eva) Bates of Colorado Springs; a brother, Orville Lau of Gillette Grove; five grandchildren and seven great -grandchildren.
