John Richard Crain ws a City of Dallas, Texas Police Officer who was killed in the line of duty on May 24, 1923. He was on foot patrol when he noticed the lights out at Browne's Pharmacy at 3400 Junius Street. When Officer Crain went to investigate, the burglary suspect, shot through the front door of the business, the bullet striking Officer Crain above the right eye. Officer Crain died instantly at the scene.
