James Floyd Barrick (known as Floyd), was the son of Stewart and Clara (Ward) Barrick. He was born at Paradise, TX on April 20, 1892. He was married to Stella Alvira Carmichael at Cordell, OK on Feb. 27, 1918. Children: Opal E. and husband, Keith Hayes; Fern Stella and husband Doyle Conley; Roy James and wife, Doris Beth Day.
He and his wife were at one time restaurant owners and often made wheat harvest runs during the summer months. At one time Mr. Barrick was sheriff of Custer county.
Mr. Barrick passed away at Clinton, OK on March 12, 1965. Burial at Clinton, OK Cemetery.
