He was born December 31, 1915 at Thomas, OK, to Webb C and Mary (Blalock) Ainsworth. He has lived in the Jones, OK area since 1946.
He was proceded in death by his parents, his wife of 63 years: Retha (Barrick) Ainsworth; wife of 2 years: Bonnie May Ainsworth; daughter: Originia Ainsworth; brother: Oscar Ainsworth; and sisters: Rosa Smith and Nona Kobasiar.
He was an active member in the Indian Nations Corvair Club since 1981, entering auto cross, grand prix, rallies and economy runs winning numerous trophies. He was a member of Route 66, Thousand Trails, and OMRG Assoc., where he enjoyed making jewelry from rocks and gems.
Arther retired from Tinker AFB as an aircraft quality control inspector and working 32 years. He also served in the Army Air Force during WWII and was reactivated twice.
He loved to travel, sing country music, dance and garden.
He is survived by a son: Leonard and wife, Judy Ainsworth of Spencer, OK; stepdaughter: Joy Stodghill of Silverton, TX; brother: Kenneth and his wife Wanda of Los Lunas, NM; grandchildren: David, Dana, Eddie, Mary, Donna and Carol; great grandchildren: Gera, Rae Lynn, Jay, Lance, Matt and Nick; great great grandchildren: Bradley and Tessa.
Funeral services will be held at Bill Eisenhour N.E. at 10:00 AM Thursday with graveside services at Clinton City Cemetery at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
