The obsequies of Mrs. G. L Dawson,relict of Mr. Joseph H. Dawson, whose death has been noted in these columns,were held from the residence, No. 95 Charlotte street,at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. S. C. Hatcher, pastor of Queen Street Methodist church, assisted by Rev. R. M. Chandler, of Centenary Methodist church: Rev. C. W. Pettit and Rev. W. G. Starr, D.D., president of Randolph-Macon College, Ashland, VA. The remains were laid to rest in Cedar Grove cemetery. Following were the pall-bearers: F. R. Maynard, R. Odend'hal, J. A. Reeves, J. L. Hunting, E. C. Smithers, Walter Earnent, R. Montgomery, W. P. Montgomery.
