Inscription

Capt Wm Hearn
Born in Jackson Co, Aug 31, 1803,
Died Nov 10, 1873
Aged 70 Years
A member of Antioch Church 50 Years.
A citizen of Putnam Co 60 Years.
His life was a blessing. His death a great loss to his community. His residence the home of God's ministers, his musical talent almost indispensible to his church. His only hope in the hour of death was the Rock of Ages. He expressed on his death bed his desire to go and be with Him who had been his stay in death. Peace to his ashes. The lives of all great men remind us that we may make our lives sublime and dying leave behind us footprints on the sands of life.
