Charles Myers, aged 78 years, died Wednesday morning at 8:10 a.m. at his home at Leitersburg. He had been in failing health for the last year. Friday he suffered a paralytic stroke from which he never regained consciousness.

Mr. Myers was born at Leitersburg, Md., the son of Solomon and Elizabeth (Crist) Myers and lived his entire life in the Leitersburg community.

Surviving are his wife, Amanda S Remley, these children, Harry C. Myers, Sharpsville,Pa.; Mrs. Maurice Sharrah, Orrtanna; Mrs. William Piper, Waynesboro; Jacob E. Myers, at home; John R. Myers, Hagerstown; Mrs. Daniel Lesher, Waynesboro; Earl Myers, Hagerstown, Route 5. Thirty-two grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Frank Hartle, Hagerstown, route 5, and Mrs. Lillie Street, Center Point, Iowa, also survive.

Mr. and Mrs. Myers have been married sixty years.
The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the Lutheran Church at Leitersburg in charge of the Rev. I. D. Worman. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
