Alpha Bailey
Alpha Bailey, resident of Clayton for the past seven years, died, April 29, in the Hendricks County Hospital where she had been a patient for just a few hours.
A native of Morgan County, she was born, Nov. 9,1895, the daughter of Francis and Mary Turner Bryant. She was the widow of Frank Bailey who preceded her March 26, 1961;
She was a member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Hazelwood.
Funeral services were Saturday afternoon from the Clayton Chapel of the Weaver Funeral Home. Rev. Clarence Hopkins officiated with burial in the Center Valley Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Beulah Shipley, Clayton and three grandchildren
