DECATUR -Ferne Wallace, 97, of Decatur died 7:30 p.m. Wednesday (March 18 1992) in McKinley Court.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Branchside Cemetery, Gays. Memorials: Prairie Avenue Christian Church.
Mrs. Wallace was born near Gays on Jan. 29, 1895, the daughter of Joseph and Grace Armentrout Quiett. She was a homemaker and a member of Prairie Avenue Christian Church. She married James Ray Wallace in Gays on March 17, 1916. He preceded her in death in 1952.
She is survived by her nieces, Mrs. John (Elizabeth "Liz") Rodrain of Plano Texas; Mrs. Joel (Catharine "Cathy") VanAntwerp of Bullard, Texas.
Her parents, husband and four brothers preceded her in death.
