He was employed with Continental Steel for 35 years, and was also self employed as a gun smith. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. He enjoyed deer hunting, hunting trips to Colorado, football
and fishing. He is survived by his sons, Monty and Belinda Buffum, Kokomo; son, Tim and Karen Buffum, Logansport; daughter, Leisa Ann & Jeffrey Carver, Galveston; son, Brad and Peggy Buffum, Galveston; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Harold Buffum, Kokomo, David Buffum, Kokomo, and Ron Buffum, Alvin, Texas; sister, Martha Jackson, New Palestine; and his former wife, Barbara Ellen Buffum, Fairmount. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services at Murray Weaver Funeral Home, 401 S. California St., Galveston, with the Rev. Bill Collins officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Chapel of Peace in Kokomo.
