Roy Clayton Taylor, 63, husband of Lois Evans Taylor, Johnsville, Union Bridge, RD 2, died Sunday, October 23, 1960, at 8:15 a.m. at Frederick Memorial Hospital, following an illness of seven days. He was a son of the late Norris and Fannie Ebaugh Taylor and was a member of Carrollton Church of God. He was employed by Yingling Brothers meat packers, Union Bridge, and for some years a resident of Baltimore.
Surviving besides his wife are three daughters: Mrs. Charles W. Little, Silver Spring; Mrs. Harry E. Blackmon, Yardley, Penna.; Mrs. Raymond B. Poole, Union Bridge; and the following brothers and sisters: Sterling Taylor, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Chester Wood, Silver Spring; Mrs. John Mann, Glenn Taylor, and Mrs. Robert Melton, Newark, Dela.; and Russell Taylor, Oxford, Penna.; his step-mother, Mrs. Annie Carty Taylor, Newark, Dela.; step-sister Mrs. Lloyd Hudson, and a half sister, Mrs. Lloyd
Beeson, all of Newark, Dela.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Westminster. His pastor, the Rev. David L. Ring, officiated. Burial was in Carrollton Church of God Cemetery.
