BURROWS, TERRY W. June 9, 1922 to August 4, 2011 Terry Burrows passed away on August 4, 2011. Terry was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, on June 9, 1922 to the late Ada Maye Donnelly Burrows and Jesse A. Burrows of North Dakota. He attended La Mesa Grammar School and graduated from Grossmont High School in 1940. A longtime resident of La Mesa, Terry was a committed husband and father. Terry served as a sergeant in the Army Air Force from 1942-1946 as a radio flight operator during World War II in India, Burma and China. He married in 1948 and worked in the Moving and Transfer business for over 60 years, retiring at the age of 80 from Sullivan United Van Lines. His greatest passions were his family, home projects, baseball, football, and playing golf. He is survived by his daughters Colleen MacDonough of San Diego and Susan Arnett of Rancho San Diego and their husbands, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores Burrows, to whom he was married for 62 years; and son, Steven T. Burrows and his brother A. James Burrows. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10th, at El Camino Mortuary, 8390 Allison Ave., La Mesa.
