Alta Denison Woodford Rasco, 91, of Gunter, formerly of Denton, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of Saturday, Nov 25, 2006.
Services will be held at Geon-Hudgens Funeral Home Chapel, 490 S I-35 in Denton, on Wednesday, Nov 29, at 11 am. The Rev Steve Holland will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Alta leaves a legacy of love in her children, Jerry Dawson and wife Billie of Georgia, Molene Millichamp and husband Ronnie of Trenton and Grover Dawson and wife Gayle of Conroe; sister Jean Miller and husband Durwood; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; son, Denis Dawson; granddaughter, Sonee; and great-grandson, Jason.
Alta's legacy began at her birth in Sanger on July 22, 1915. Her love of the Lord and family was the cohesive thread throughout her life in good times and bad. Her life's journey brought her three great loves in husbands, J L Dawson, Homer Woodford and Carl Rasco. Alta embraces each of these life's chapters and her devotion and love multiplied with the addition of family members.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, Nov 28, at the funeral home.
