LAURA SUE ROARK, age 93, Clifton Village, Cynthiana, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at her residence. Born in Harrison County, September 6, 1911, to the late H. M. and Nancy Jenkins McKinley, she was a homemaker, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cynthiana and a Kentucky Colonel.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Lyons and Jarvis Roark.
She is survived by a son, James E. Lyons, Bossier City, Louisiana; a daughter, Mildred Sosbe, Cynthiana; a sister, Effie Riddle, Cynthiana; three grandchildren, James D. Lyons, Cathy Lyons and Carolyn McMillin; two step-grandchildren, Lynn Holmes and Letza Bowen; two great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Ware Funeral Home by Bro. Ray Chamberlin. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday. Burial will be in Pythian Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church.
