He retired from Ford Motor Company after 35 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army 1956-1958.
Survivors include his mother, Katherine Kissick of Greenfield; his companion and caregiver, Carol Burnworth of New Castle; sons: Lance Kissick of Middletown and Thad Kissick of Muncie; a daughter, Shani Kissick of New Castle; a granddaughter, Parker Thomas of Indianapolis; siblings: Elizabeth (Russell) Couch of Greenfield, Marjorie (Herbert) Reeves of Knightstown, Bill Kissick of Greenfield, Kenneth Kissick of Mooresville and Barry Kissick of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Kissick; and a sister, Joyce Ann Kissick.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Woodlawn Cemetery (Springport Cemetery). Services are entrusted to Hinsey Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
