She was born on May 28, 1924 in Seattle, to Joseph and Marie (Slettedahl) Thorkelson.
Louise enjoyed leading and teaching Sunday School children. She also enjoyed leading the children's choir. She was an accomplished soloist, pianist and organist. She worked for many years as her husband's office manager.
Louise is survived by her husband, Allen T. Solemslie; son, Keith A. Solemslie and his wife, Marilyn; daughters, Irene Solemslie Steffens and her husband, Shawn, Clare Solemslie Mork and her husband, Craig; and five grandchildren, Peder Mork, Patricia Steffens, Ryan Solemslie, Ian Steffens and Alec Solemslie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Marie Thorkelson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Graveside services were held at the Zion Cemetery next to The Little White Church in Silvana.
