Beverly J. Harmon, age 83 of Rathdrum passed away January 9, 2012 at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene. She was born October 3, 1928 in Canton, South Dakota to Eli and Leone (Taylor) Payne. Beverly grew up in Canton and graduated from Canton High School in 1946.

On February 2, 1947 she married Milo "Mike" Harmon in Canton. While in Canton, Beverly worked at a manufacturing plant. Mike passed away in 1985 and after Beverly retired, she moved to Post Falls in 1991 to be close to her daughter. Beverly was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #143 of Post Falls and also enjoyed crocheting and watching the wildlife outside her home in Rathdrum.

Beverly is survived by her daughter Peggy Kellum of Post Falls; three brothers: Arlo Payne, Charles Payne and Duane Payne; grandson Jason Bultena and long time friend John Cooper. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Village 1350 W. Hanley Avenue, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho 83815.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday January 12, 2012 at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel.
