Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia M. Parker, 83, will be 2 pm Sunday January 15, 2012 at the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Ensley officiating. Interment will follow at Harris Cemetery.
Mrs. Parker was born on October 8, 1928 to the union of George and Rachel Nelson Temple and passed from this life on Friday January 13, 2012 at her residence after an extended illness.
She was born in Franklin Parish, a resident of Bastrop, a homemaker and a member of Apostolics of Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Samuel Timothy Parker, two sons Joe Parker and Lester Parker, and a brother Buddy Temple.
Survivors include her children Marlene Boyte, Betty Cassells, Randy Parker, Ramage Parker, Timmy Parker and Andy Parker; sisters Eunice Ellis and Ruby Greer; also survived by 23 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Daiken Boyte, Scott Boyte, Toby Cassells, George Nunnery, Mike Parker and Delane Weeks.
Honorary pallbearers will be Loyd Ellis and Dennis Parker.
Friends may call for visitation on Saturday after 5 pm until 8 pm.
