Ames, Roger J. 92, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2012 at McAuley Manor in Aurora, IL. He was born March 12, 1919 in Nashua, Iowa, the son of Hiram and Mary (nee Johnson) Ames. Roger was an Air Force veteran and was honorably discharged on December 15, 9145. He was a machinist by trade and worked many years at Riverbank Labs in Geneva, IL. He is survived by his late nephew's (Donald Ames) wife, Marion Grace Ames and their children, Donald Jae Ames, Robin Rae Ames, Marie Ann Kae Ames, and Shawn Paul Ames. He is also survived by special friends, Barbara Bauler, Steven and Mary Gould, Jerry Spitz, and many other friends and acquaintances. In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his brother, Robert S. Ames, and a nephew, Donald Ames. Following cremation, burial will take place at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Naperville Cemetery, 705 S. Washington Street, Naperville, IL.
