Robert John Abernethy, 62, resident of Port Huron and Sarnia all his life, died Friday in the home of his brother, G. Nelson Abernethy, 727 Chestnut Street, after an illness of 10 weeks. Mr. Abernethy was born Dec. 17 1881 in Sarnia and married Winefred Grahm, Jan 9, 1919.

He is survived by his widow; three brothers, Fred Abernethy, Detroit; and Edward and G. Nelson Abernethy, both of Port Huron; a sister Mrs. Hugh Bonner, Gardendale and several nieces and nephews.

The remains are in the Albert A. Falk & Son mortuary, where Rev. John Rahill, pastor of First Congregational church will officiate at funeral service at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
