NELL LOTT SEARS
May 12, 1929 - January 10, 2012

SEARS Nell Lott Sears went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the arms of her loving daughter Sharon and her dear friend Mary at Community Hospice January 10, 2012. She was born in Lanier County, Georgia and lived in Ware County, Georgia most of her life. She moved to Jacksonville in 1998 and lived here until the time of her death.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Coleman Sears, her son Coleman Sears, Jr. (Harvey), her parents Warren Lott and Lula Rigell Lott, her brother W.D. Lott, her sister Dorothy Lott Jordan.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon Sears Pender, her son-in-law, Thomas Pender, and her beloved only grandchild Derek Pender, and a host of family and friends.

She was a member of New Life at Park Street Church. Taking care of her family and helping the handicapped was her passion. She and her husband were in the farming business for many years. They also ran Sears Chenille Factory and Lott's Grocery in the community of Dixie Union, Georgia. She was a seamstress and worked at two different sewing factories over the years making collegiate uniforms and jackets. To sum it up, little Nell was a loving person who was always willing to give of herself.

She was a long time caregiver to her elderly parents, her handicapped son, her sick husband, and her widowed brother. She was a tiny little lady who was tough as nails when she needed to be but with a heart as big as her great state of Georgia.

Services celebrating her life will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 14, 2012 located at First Coast Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida officiating will be Rev. Richard Edwards and Rev. Gene Guerra. Graveside and burial will be 3:00 PM at Oakland Cemetery in Waycross, Georgia.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice or Ronald McDonalds House in Jacksonville, Florida.
